Thanksgiving has come and gone again. I love Thanksgiving mainly for the fact that you can stuff your face without anyone complaining about it. Not that I don't stuff my face on a regular basis, but any day designated to it, makes me smile.
This year we had the glorious feast at my mom's house. She has that fantastically large kitchen, she might as well use it. And as usual my grandma made her delicious stuffing. Now, I enjoy all the other elements of Thanksgiving - turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy - but I LOVE the stuffing. I crave it all year long. And it was as good as I remembered (and I have enjoyed it for several days since....)
I also ate my share of rolls, pretzel jello, celery stuffed with (the good) cheese, and olives. And I gloriously avoided the sweet potatoes, cranberries, and pickled beets - all causing me to gag a little right now - bleck!
Then to top it off we had numerous pies (but I was too stuffed to eat them until late that night, and the next day, and the next - leftovers, Yum!)
So that's it. It was nice to all be together and to eat and remember how grateful I am for my family.

Why Christmas is Fantastic!
I love Christmas! I have been listening to Christmas music for a month, I own loads (I won't tell you the exact number because it is really sad) of Christmas CD's, I can't wait to get a Christmas Tree, and I love all the Christmas treats (fudge, See's Dark Chocolate Nuts and Chews*hint, hint*). So this year we had a Christmas Party a little early to include Boogers - since California is so far away.

Oh How Lovely...
Santa is scary...
Made a trip to the Family Christmas Expo last weekend with Grandma (or if you prefer, Hey-sus), Erin, and The Pickle. Erin really has been talking up Ho Ho (how The Pickle refers to Santa Claus) to The Pickle. Apparently last year at the family Christmas Party he was a mess. I didn't see this, but I can imagine - I have seen him as a mess before.... it is not pretty :)
The Pickle was nervous while in line, but Erin just kept talking about how fun Ho Ho can be and everything else. It looked like things were going well until Ho Ho spoke.... "What's your name?" The Pickle responded, then immediately started crying. He took his candy cane and had to be hugged by Grandma to make it all better.
Sitting in the train alone was much more to The Pickle's liking.
The rest of the Expo consisted of us finding a lot of junk - seriously, I can't believe people try to sell this stuff or worse that people buy it - and collecting free candy to feed to The Pickle (this favorite aunt stuff can be hard work!)

Got Voicemail? Use It
So anyone who really knows me is very aware of my absolute hatred for anything bathroom related.
I will nicely exclaim during a movie that there is never a need to shoot a scene in a bathroom.
Seriously, 99% of the stuff movies show in bathrooms could be done in any other nicer location. We all know what the bathroom is for, why do we need to be constantly exposed to it?! Also on the top of the list is talking on your cell phone while using the bathroom. (Now, my dear friend Mama Linda on occasion will take her phone in her bathroom while at home. Although I still don't approve, at least it is in the privacy of her home).
So with these bathroom issues comes my dreaded disgust in using public restrooms. There have been many mishaps while in a public restroom, and if I can avoid them I will. But with all this traveling I have to do for work, and after 5 Diet Pepsi's, I just can't hold my bladder anymore.
I search out the cleanest looking joint in the neighborhood (not an easy feat in some small towns) and proceed to the restroom. Then of all things, I hear the lady next to me say "Hello....." So I think she will have a quick conversation - consisting of, I'm busy let me call you back, but NO - she just talks as usual. I did my business, washed my hands, dried my hands, then left and she was still just talking along. Seriously, the world is not going to end because you missed a call. You have voicemail for a reason, and this would definitely be the time to use it! And you don't even want to know of the dry heaves (heeves?) that will ensue after the person on the other end realizes your were on the toilet during the entire conversation.
....Remind me never to borrow anyone's cell phone!

Inadequacy
I admit I randomly have down days at work (as anyone can see from my previous entry). This week I actually worked efficiently on Monday - seriously, I closed five cases before noon.
And today I've been busy again - driving to Ogden and Layton. Now I have a little bit of down time and realize I haven't posted for awhile. Then I start thinking, I didn't do anything "exciting" all weekend, or even yesterday when I had the day off. Then I worried that people are cursing my name because they LIVE for new posts and I haven't produced any for almost two weeks. What a freaking slacker!
So here I am posting nonsense and hoping you are all satisfied with my lack of excitement for the past week or more. (Although I did do things. I entertained Stinky Pete and The Pickle on Friday. Then had this horrendous side pain on Saturday and almost burst into tears at cRoss Dress for Less from the pain. Oh, and I ended up returning a sweater yesterday and scored 2 pairs of pants and jacket for only $14 - seriously, that is some good shopping).
Ok, I hope you're all pleased. I'll get back to work now. Although I'm bugged as usual because I had a scheduled visit with a client earlier today and she wasn't home. That totally pisses me off. But I sit here patiently waiting for her to call me to reschedule. I'm so nice.....
