Celery

Went to the Jazz game last night. We had seats on the back row of the lower bowl - which is exactly what I like, nobody spilling beer on me from behind.

The randomness was running rampant. There was a guy about two rows in front of me with a bunch (stalks?) of celery. Just carrying them around in the produce bag from the store. I tried to get a picture, but wasn't quick enough (partly because I was staring for several minutes wondering why he had celery). Along with the celery guy was another guy wearing a turtleneck - which no self-righteous male should ever be caught wearing. But he was even funnier because he was drunk and trying to get out of the row and falling all over people and showing off his plumber crack in the process. It was awesome!

Then there was this guy......

First of all, he was so large even when he was standing we couldn't get past him to our seats. That stomach stuck out several feet. Then he was heckling, but not good heckling. I'm all for a little heckle, but his was stupid and dumb. And he told a little kid - ten rows in front of him - to sit down. Seriously, it is your stomach you can't see over, not that kid! (And don't go to a sporting event that encourages standing if you want to sit the entire time).
It was fun and cheap, so I enjoyed myself!

Mine, Mine, Mine.....

There's no better way to make me happy than to tell me something is free. So when I heard Disneyland was free on your birthday, I started planning the trip months in advance (and letting everyone know about my plans!)

My mom, Aaron, and I flew down Monday, played at Disneyland Tuesday, then flew home Wednesday. Quick trip, but totally worth it! And just what I needed for my 32nd Happy to You! (Even with getting double ear infections and feeling like crap most of the day. But my mom said I couldn't complain, and I didn't - not once.... look at how mature I am!)

Here's some pictures of the fun.....

*I was going to add some random pictures of Aaron and I in Mickey Mouse ears and other hats, but I have no idea how to do those cool collage things. And the pictures aren't that exciting on their own. So you will just have to imagine the fun.......

Late

It was bound to happen......

As I rushed out of the house (and rush is a calm word for my usual state of discombobulation when it is 7:15am and I'm suppose to be at work at 7:00am) and headed off down the road then realized - I FORGOT MY TEETH! (Stop laughing or I'll kick yours out so you know what it is like!!!)

Luckily I was only a block away and hadn't seen anyone (or smiled at them) when I had the realization.

And to top it off, I was 45 minutes late for work rather than 30 minutes late. (Too bad I don't care and seriously, you would be late to if you forgot your teeth!)

Paper Chain

Tomorrow is the actual Happy To You day! And I am going to sunny California AND Disneyland (my most favorite place ever).
This trip has been planned since January. I scheduled it on the work calendar (another way for my boss to micro-manage us - seriously, she puts everything on the calendar and expects the same from us...bathroom break at 1:17pm). Anyway, last time I took days off, for the dreaded teeth extraction, I listed a week off just to be on the safe side. Well, after a day my boss started asking W where I was at and when I would be back.... W wanted to say look at your damn calendar.
This time I thought it best to remind her of my plans. Didn't want W to get a million questions. Of course she had no idea (again, look at the damn calendar) and was a little frantic needing to know when I would be back (damn calendar). Apparently the calendar isn't doing the job, maybe a paper chain will work. Then she can tear a chain off each day until I return....just a thought!

Party

We had our BIG Happy to You party a week ago. Aaron still had my camera, so I didn't get any pictures. Erin got some of The Pickle and his excitement.
The day was overshadowed by the sheer excitement of guns and BUZZ (Lightyear). When we were ready to open presents Eugene was so excited and exclaimed "Santa" then he exclaimed "Buzz"! Too bad it wasn't even his Happy to You and he wasn't getting anything (although Grandma Carma felt bad and got him a gift anyway).
It was a great party and best of all I got my favorite cake in the world - Texas Sheet Cake. Mmmmm.....just typing the name makes my mouth water.

Happy To You!

It is my Happy to You month (along with The Pickle and his mom).
Everyone deserves a Happy to You month. At the very least, a Happy to You week.
And if you know me, you know how much I LOVE my Happy to You. I've been so excited for my Happy to You since Christmas ended.
I only think The Pickle is more excited for our Happy to You because Pop is coming home to celebrate with us. The Pickle has been talking about our Happy To You for a month (he thinks it is his, mine, and Pops Happy to You - not his moms. And if you try to tell him different he gets upset).
Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know of my excitement. And remember to celebrate all month...... I deserve it :)

**Oh, and if you don't have 2 years old running around, Happy to You is toddler talk for Birthday.

Public Service Announcement

So I don't care if you want to smoke. Seriously, if you choose to participate in a vile, digusting habit which involves filling your lungs with HORRIBLE chemicals - then it is your choice.
But if you rent something (this includes cars, hotels, bowling shoes - anything) then don't smoke while in those rentals.
Nothing pisses me off more than to pay to rent something that makes me sick just to be in it. Which is exactly what happened today with the rental car I had. Things started off ok because it was cold and the door had been open. But after parking and leaving the car for 20 minutes in the sun the stench was so bad I dry-heaved. And luck would have it I had several stops to make today and each time it got worse and worse. Finally I just returned the car five hours early and complained.
Yes, again I complained. Serves them right for giving me a bad rental when they know I complain!
