Handy...

So, my dear friend Tara posted a fabulous piano bench that she made. She got the plans from Knock-Off Wood and suggested everyone check out the blog. So I did just that (mostly because Tara has never steered me wrong and work was super slow, so I needed something to waste time). Anyway, so I did some stalking and came upon this fabulous bed. I have been looking for a new headboard/footboard for at least six months -- and by new I mean finally having one.

Several years ago my dad and I made a bed frame, but with all the moves I have done in the past four years, it kind of got lost somewhere.

When I saw the plans for this bed, I knew it was exactly what I wanted. I quickly printed the plans and announced to my dad that we would be making this bed when he was back in town.

Low and behold (and lots of dollars later) we did it....

(Sorry the pictures don't do it justice, you'll just have to come over and see it for yourself!)

To say I love it is an understatement. It is fabulous!

I am so excited every time I walk in my room and see it. I even took the time this morning to make the bed, so it will continue to look pretty for when I return home after a long day of work. (Well, the blanket/pillows help. After much searching I found the blanket at Target - and some sheets - and I love them as much as the bed).

What to make next?!

Pampered

I had a conference in Midway two weeks ago and it was fantastic. Mostly because I actually got to spend two nights at the beautiful Zermatt hotel (instead of driving home every night and back every morning). Lucky is an understatement.

My hotel room was FABULOUS! There was a kitchen - not just a kitchenette - an actual kitchen with all fixings. Then there was a living room with a full size couch and a huge television.

And then we come to the bedroom with the
ginormous king size bed,
the huge television (to watch while lying in my ginormous king size bed), and a balcony.

I don't want to forget the bathroom. Now this bathroom was larger than some hotel rooms I have stayed in. It had two sinks - in separate locations. A spa tub with separate shower --- and elevator doors. It was magical!

Now, I didn't take a single picture of the heavenly hotel room. Mostly because the minute I walked in I just felt like relaxing and enjoying myself. Not having a care in the world.....
I did get a few shots of the view from my balcony.

You all know my love of tractors (although it wasn't true love since it wasn't a John Deere)
