Reason Number 43
Ok, I really don't have 42 other reasons (at least not off the top of my head and not that I'm willing to rack my brains to find), but seriously, who wouldn't make a trip to St George just to enjoy In-N-Out?!
I'm still salivating just at the sight of that glorious goodness.... Hmm.. I wonder when I can get another trip in?!
And done....
Seriously, why did everyone have to have a baby this summer?! Ok, I am all caught up on making booties. Two babies are already enjoying their booties, and three others will be wearing theirs (is that really a word?!) within the next month. It is nice to be done. Now I just need to work on Tara's blanket....
Here's some pictures of the girl booties. Aren't they so much cuter than the boy ones?! (The ones in the second picture were made by my amazing (although knit illiterate) mother - she made me promise to give her credit. And the ribbon has the words baby girl in brown and pink lettering, I know you're all ooing and aaing at my brilliance!)

And I forgive Tommy for just realizing that chocolate brown and pink go together. It is sad to see how behind the times he is....

My own little Stevie Wonder
Babies and blankets and booties oh my!
Initially this started out as a blanket for Tara's baby, but after I received the yarn I was disappointed in the colors. Tara LOVES lime green (and only lime green), so when I found the pattern and yarn I was overjoyed (thanks Anna). But, the yarn was deceiving and ended up being regular green rather than lime. And since Tara's having a girl I wanted something a little more girly. Good thing Beth is having a boy, so my knitting didn't go to waste. I finished it up in plenty of time (once I sat down and took the time to focus). It really is beautiful and soft yarn, so I'm happy with it. Here's the finished product-
The pattern was really easy - the entire thing was garter stitch. Although sometimes easiness leads to boredom.... The finished size was smaller than I would have expected (I should have made the toddler size as recommended), but babies are small, so who cares?!
I also whipped up some booties. This really is one of my favorite booty patterns because of how easy it is (not in the boredom sense of easiness). Only took me about an hour per booty, you can't beat that. And no sewing together, just some weaving in of the ends. Oh yeah, and I found some really cute football ribbon to make the ties, much better than boring white.

Don't Eat Me!
(Said in a high-pitched fearful voice).
I got to watch The Pickle on Saturday night. I was a little nervous because this is a child who LOVES his parents. I am not joking even in the slightest! But we have had a couple of good encounters lately, so I figured we would be ok. And since I taught him how to hit knuckles with an explodsion and also say, Yes! with fist pumping and knee bending action - I wasn't too worried.
And everything turned out just fine. We crashed cars, threw balls, and stacked wood (repeatedly). But my favorite part was when The Pickle ate his Teddy Grahams. Every time he got ready to eat a teddy, he would exclaim, "Don't eat me!" and then bite off a head. It was hilarious!

Minimum of Fifteen Pieces of Flair
As usual, I am bored again at work. My co-worker got to go to St George to work on a case so I'm all alone. And it's even worse because my cubicle is on the bottom floor of the building away from any other workers. I'm not even joking! There's a group of people across the hall, but they keep their door closed (and they were mean to us because apparently we used their printer and that's bad because they really use it a lot and can't be interrupted by our 5-10 pages a day of printing - so we don't talk to them anyway). The only others are the janitors, and sometimes I wonder if they feel like the bottom dwellers, so they don't want to hang out with us - or maybe they just don't like me.
I'm just sitting here alone with my red stapler - it's a Swingline! (Seriously I don't have a red Swingline, but that's totally how I feel and I think I may have to purchase myself one). --It's sad to say, but my work life does totally resemble Office Space--

The best part about my office is that we are located right next to the office gym. And since there is no insulation in the walls or ceiling, we get to enjoy the gym goers watching movies. All I can hear is loud muffled noises, so it annoys me. Also, there are two men that work out regularly and talk SO LOUD I want to scream at them. I really don't think they realize how loud they are talking as well as how much information I can hear. It's probably confidential stuff and I could use it for leverage to get myself that red Swingline!
