Babies and blankets and booties oh my!

Initially this started out as a blanket for Tara's baby, but after I received the yarn I was disappointed in the colors. Tara LOVES lime green (and only lime green), so when I found the pattern and yarn I was overjoyed (thanks Anna). But, the yarn was deceiving and ended up being regular green rather than lime. And since Tara's having a girl I wanted something a little more girly. Good thing Beth is having a boy, so my knitting didn't go to waste. I finished it up in plenty of time (once I sat down and took the time to focus). It really is beautiful and soft yarn, so I'm happy with it. Here's the finished product-

The pattern was really easy - the entire thing was garter stitch. Although sometimes easiness leads to boredom.... The finished size was smaller than I would have expected (I should have made the toddler size as recommended), but babies are small, so who cares?!

I also whipped up some booties. This really is one of my favorite booty patterns because of how easy it is (not in the boredom sense of easiness). Only took me about an hour per booty, you can't beat that. And no sewing together, just some weaving in of the ends. Oh yeah, and I found some really cute football ribbon to make the ties, much better than boring white.
