Butterflies

After Christmas my mom and I made a trip to Santa Barbara to see Boogers. They have a new house, which means we got a bedroom in the house instead of a shack up the road. And I didn't have to worry about mountain lions attacking me as I walked to the shack.

We headed up to Pismo Beach for a little shopping. Along the way we ended up (ok maybe because Colleen took a wrong turn) at the Monarch Butterfly hibernation place. (I guess I should have found out what it was called). It was pretty amazing to see..... it all looks like a bunch of dead leaves, but when you look through the telescope you can see that it is a HUGE cluster of Monarch Butterflies waiting out the winter.
