Babies....

Tara's having a baby! Which means my knitting needs are on high alert. I LOVE making booties - especially for girls! Boy booties aren't nearly as cute and generally don't get worn. I have been searching high and low for the perfect booties pattern. Then Tara asked about mary jane booties. It just so happened I already have a pattern for them, I've just never made them. (Don't get me wrong, I love my nephews, but it sure would've made my knitting life easier if they had turned out to be girls).
Since I'm living in the one room shack in St George, most of my knitting supplies are in storage at my parents house. I do have some basic stuff and my random WIP, but not the stash I'm used to. Last time I was home I found the pattern, the needles, and any other thing I may need. Too bad as soon as I did a gauge swatch I realized I needed a bigger size needle - which I didn't have. So I made the trip to the store to buy a new set (although I'm positive I have two pairs of the same size in storage). But by this time I was frustrated, so I haven't done anything more on them.
My good intentions of getting them knit before moving probably won't happen - unless I get some big urge to sit down and finish them in the next five days. Hey, it could happen....
