Well, I'm moving out of 'old' St George. This brings some mixed emotions. Really, the weather is extremely enjoyable - even the heat of summer is ok with me. I definitely have gotten used to no snow and will not be looking forward to the next winter and driving. But I never had intentions of staying in St George past graduate school. And I've been finished with that for a month now.
It is sad to say, but I will miss my co-workers in St George. They have given me a lot of challenges, but in the end they truly are amazing people. It has been great to see how they do things in the south and how they aren't even going to listen to my "salt lake ways!" In the end they embraced me and shared their lives with me.
My new job should bring a much needed change, but I'm not sure it will be the dream job I have been waiting for. At least it will bring a raise - which I feel I have deserved for years now. Seriously, after serving the State for almost seven years it is about time I got a raise!
Now begins the packing. At least my apartment is about an 1/8 the size of my last residence, so really it shouldn't take me long. Still the dread is there.....
