Stinky Pete is having a birthday. She is my favorite, so of course I went a little over the top with her gift.... And bought Miley Cyrus concert tickets. Aaron went in on it with me, so the price wasn't outrageous (for hers, but I still had to buy my own - and that hurt the budget).
It was the WORST concert I have ever been to, and that includes all those drunken, pot-smoking ones at USANA. Seriously, Energy Solutions Arena has horrible acoustics (actually none at all) and the entire time all it sounded like was screaming.
And just to make things better, Miley was sick and really did a poor performance. Although I have nothing else to judge her by(except the millions of TV things she has done), it was sad that I paid (a lot!) for tickets and felt like I only got half a show.
The entire set of songs, probably only lasted 60 minutes. Overall it may have been an 80 minute show with all the time wasting of stage set-up, costume changes (seriously, we came to hear you sing, not change your outfit after every single song), and "flu recuperation".
I doubt I'll ever go to another Miley concert.
Worst of all, it was Stinky Pete's first concert experience, and it was terrible. One day I will take her to something else to give her a true concert experience.
This was actually my favorite part of the entire night.... she sang, "I Love Rock and Roll" and I danced and sang my little heart out.
